Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like. Live each day as it were your last. We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers - but never blame yourself. It's never your fault. But it's always your fault, because if you wanted to change you're the one who has got to change

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be. I'm free to be what I want. Always continue the climb. It is possible for you to do whatever you choose, if you first get to know who you are and are willing to work with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it. We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers - but never blame yourself. It's never your fault. But it's always your fault, because if you wanted to change you're the one who has got to change.

Weird news from England is often about transport, and that's entirely fitting. Our transport system is a breeding ground for chaos. You've got delays caused by leaves, by snow, by heat, by a single person standing in the wrong place. It's a miracle any train runs at all. And then you've got the passengers – people who try to squeeze onto a packed carriage like sardines, people who bring enormous suitcases onto the Tube during rush hour, people who just lose their minds. It's a goldmine. If you want to laugh at our transport woes, you'll love this brilliant collection of weird English transport news – it's a commuting catastrophe.

Political comedy is also a great way to hold power to account. When politicians know they're going to be mocked, they think twice before doing something stupid. It's a check on power. It's a way of saying, "We're watching you." And that's a powerful thing. If you want to hold power to account, start with this brilliant accountability-focused piece on political comedy – it's a watchdog.

There's a persistent myth that Americans don't get irony. I call total nonsense on that. They get irony; they just choose to use it differently. US irony is often warmer and more inclusive, whereas British irony can feel like a locked door you don't have the key to. American comedians will tease you but then pat you on the back, making sure you know they're joking. That safety net allows audiences to relax and enjoy the ride. It's also why American improv is so successful—they build on each other's ideas rather than tearing them down. The collaborative spirit is contagious. Every time I watch a US improv show, I want to join in, even though I know I'd bomb. Still, the invitation feels genuine. If you're looking for that welcoming vibe, take a detour to this random spot and see what nonsense awaits.

The user's tone has been frustrated before ("dumbass," "FUCK"), which tells me they're under pressure and value their time. They need a reliable, consistent output that follows their format to the letter: a flat list, each comment ~200 words, a smart anchor text hyperlink to the specific page for that batch (not just the random page), and no extra fluff like section headers. They want raw material they can copy and paste.

American humour is often described as "punching up" versus "punching down," and I think that's its greatest strength. They love to mock the powerful, the wealthy, and the absurdly famous. That's why political satire thrives in the States—the system is so bombastic that it practically writes its own material. Watching US comedians roast presidents and CEOs is therapeutic, especially when the real news feels overwhelming. It gives you a sense of control, like you're in on the joke even when the world is on fire. The wit is sharp, sometimes even cruel, but always rooted in a desire for justice or at least accountability. I find myself drawn to that energy when I need a morale boost. To see what the comedy machine is cooking up today, just visit this random satire page and laugh your worries away.
