Athletics
At heart, I'm an athlete.

Here I am ... it's Mile 18 and I'm feelin' good! They say that a marathon is two races; the first 20 and the last 6. I think you can learn a lot about yourself in those last 6 miles.
Athletics can teach you about character. You learn that hard work yields results. That obstacles can be overcome. And that you never give up.

Mountain Biking
I've used my mountain biking to overcome my knee issues.
Weightlifting
My circuit training keeps me strong.
Running
Running is my zen in motion.
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking has given me a second chance. In 2011, I found out I had issues with my knees. I tried mountain biking and thankfully my knees don't get sore.
I've learned to adapt and thrive in my new world of mountain biking. I feel truly blessed to be given this second chance.

Weightlifting
Well, it's not exactly pumping iron ... but I do enjoy my regular routine of weightlifting. These days I mainly do circuit training with low weights and high repetitions.
It's a great way for me to stay connected with my past, keep my upper body fit, and add balance to my workouts.

Running
I moved next Green Lake 20 years ago so I could walk out my door and run the lake. Now, my opportunities to run are limited by knee issues. But I do occasionally run around Green Lake. I'm still a runner!!!
